Robbing a bank is, along with winning the lottery and inheriting a fortune from some unknown relative, one of the most unlikely and ridiculous ways to become a millionaire overnight. And big robberies shouldn't be as simple as they appear in the movies... Or should they? There are a handful of cases that are as impressive as they are well executed, in which a seemingly impossible robbery ended up going well. Although the perpetrators were arrested in all the robberies on this list, in many the stolen loot has not been found.

Notarbartolo knows the Antwerp Diamond Center inside out, as he has posed as an Antwerp jeweler and has been planning the robbery for months, which is supposedly one of the safest buildings in the world.
The thieves faced more than ten levels of security, including a two-foot-thick steel door. They also managed to go unnoticed by the security cameras. Nothing failed and they managed to get hold of their loot: 100 of the 189 boxes in the security vault, with contents valued at 100 million euros.
