HP's claim to have the world's most sustainable PC portfolio is based on criteria established by EPEAT , the most comprehensive, measurable and transparent eco-label in the IT industry.
Administered by the Green Electronics France Mobile Number List Council, the EPEAT program provides independent verification of a manufacturer's products against sustainability criteria, including the product's energy efficiency as well as the use of recycled materials, its longevity, the design for the end of its useful life and packaging.
Today, HP has 38 EPEAT Gold and 268 Silver registered products in more than 19 countries, more than any other company in the IT industry:
Many of our most discerning customers around the world look for EPEAT certified products when making purchasing decisions, as these support their own sustainability goals.
This makes your PC portfolio the most sustainable and goes far beyond meeting EPEAT criteria. For example, as part of their Design for Sustainability program, they are finding innovative ways to increase the amount and type of recycled materials in our products and have set an industry-leading goal to use 30% recycled plastic in their Personal and printing systems portfolio by 2025.
Through an innovative recycling program in Haiti , HP has obtained more than 450 tons of plastic bottles extracted from the ocean for recycling and reuse, which is equivalent to approximately 35 million bottles that have been processed and used in the manufacture of new HP products and supplies.
Products like the HP Elite c1030 Chromebook Enterprise laptop announced today, which is the world's first Chromebook with plastic that was ever thrown into the ocean, contains 75% recycled aluminum in its top lid and features a keyboard also made from recycled plastics in 50%.
